"Libelante" is derived from combination of Libertà (liberty) and Brillante (brilliant), which means "We will cross over any genres freely." and "We will make one another shine brightly."
Libelante is a male crossover trio with Kim Ji Hoon (a baritone and musical actor), Jin Won (a tenor), and Roh Hyun Woo (a bass-baritone).
They debuted on June 2, 2023, as the winners of the Phantom Singer Season 4.
The group name "Libelante" is derived from combination of Liberta (liberty) and Brillante (brilliant), which means "We will cross over any genres freely" and "We will make one another shine brightly."
The combination of their vocal parts (a tenor, a bass-baritone, a baritone and musical singer) is as authentic as any classical male crossover group, but their vocal range is not limited to their voice parts.
All members sing the lowest and highest notes, freely crossing over their original vocal parts. Thus, they are utterly worth their name, "Libelante."
Since their debut, Libelante has earned recognition as “crossover idols,” steadily building a loyal fanbase both in Korea and worldwide through their exceptional vocal ability, youthful energy, striking visuals, and commanding stage presence.

Since he debuted in 2020, he performed in many musicals as an ensemble and has played many leading roles in The Wedding Player, Midnight: Actor Musician, First Love, Brahms, Laundry, Dice, and Wilde Gray. He won the Grand Prize in the College and General Division of DIMF Musical Star Award in 2019. In 2020, he appeared in tvN’s Double Casting, an audition TV program for musical rookies, and made it to the top 6 as the youngest contestant.

In 2019, Jin Won received the second prize in the College Division of Chae Dong Sun Music Contest. During his military service, he sang the national anthem of Korea at the repatriation ceremony of General Hong Beum Do. Impressed by his performance, Kondo Yukiko, a Japanese producer, invited him to an opening ceremony of the Asian TV Drama Conference and Concordia 20th Anniversary Concert in 2023.

He was a university student when debuted as Libelante.
He won first place in the Korea Voice Competition in 2017. In 2018, he won third place and a special prize at the Piero Cappuccilli International Competition in Italy, and in 2019, he received a special prize at the Flaviano Labo. In 2020, he was awarded the Young Artist Special Award at the Tenor Viñas International Competition in Spain. He received special prizes at the Giulio Neri (2022) and Giulio Gari (2025) International Competitions.
The fans of Libelante are called the Lib Balm. It is a combination of Lib (Libelante) and Balm. It means "Libelante and the fans support and care for each other as balms do." It is often shortened as Balmy.
